For most of my lifetime I've had a passionate interest in history and anything factual about the world in which we live. For the last twenty years, since a visit to Salisbury museum, my thoughts have frequently wandered to the exhibits there and to the archaeology of Wessex. The Henge Saga is based on real archaeology and personal observations. I hope that you find the material within the three volumes is readable, fun and maybe thought provoking.

The first book to be published within the Henge Saga is "The Immortal Queen". It covers a number of lives that were integral to the creation of the Sanctus( (AKA Stonehenge). Having started a novel, provisionally entitled "Corby", it caused me to create a backstory which has morphed into "The Immortal Queen": this novel stands alone and needs no knowledge of the other parts of the saga. Hopefully "Corby" will be finished next year.
The first book on the timeline of the Henge Saga, provisionally entitled "Gwelid", is likely to be the last written.
Like website building, self-publication can only be described as a novel enterprise (apologies for the unforgivable pun). Let me know of any editorial issues that you find online or in print , and, if ever there is a second edition of "The Immortal Queen", then I will do my best to correct them.
More pictures and information will be added during the course of 2025/6

The full price in both cases is £17.99., though online a few copies are now for sale at £14.99 inclusive of all fees and postage. Please allow 7 working days for delivery
If you wish to contact me then you are welcome to do so via my email address;: louiscjhirst@gmail.com. The first print run of the novel, which is still currently available, has a finite run of 200 books.
